The Rotary Club of Palm Desert supports many youth activities across the whole Coachella Valley. The club raises money from events such as the Pancake Breakfast to further these programs. Every year, the club sends students to special Rotary-themed camps such as P.R.Y.D.E. and RYLA, both of which are safe leadership training camps. It is a time each year for our local youth to further develop their leadership skills.

The Rotary Club of Palm Desert, with support from grants from Stater Brothers Charities and the Big Horn Cares Grant, has purchased books for third-grade students to build comprehension. We also support “Read Across America,” where our members visit a local school to read to the students and donate books to their classroom libraries to encourage reading. We support children at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission by donating backpacks and other school supplies. Our Club sponsors the Rotaract Club at College of the Desert and the Interact Clubs at Palm Desert High and Xavier Preparatory High School to foster service.
